Dr. Essam Abdallah, an Egyptian liberal intellectual, in an article published last October in the leading liberal pan-Arab journal Elaph, refers to certain reports coming out of Washington:
These reports reveal the depth of the below-the-surface coordination between the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Libya and Jordan. This bloc of regimes and organizations is now becoming the greatest Islamist radical lobby ever to penetrate and infiltrate the White House, Congress, the State Department and the main decision making centers of the US government. All of this is happening at a time when the US government is going through its most strategically dangerous period in modern times because of its need to confront the Iranian Mullahs regime, which is expanding in the Middle East, as well as penetrating the United States, via powerful and influential allies.

In case you haven't noticed, thousands -- perhaps millions -- of Christians living in Muslim nations are being prosecuted, even brutally murdered. For example, in Nigeria in 2011, the Muslim extremist group Boko Haram killed 510 Christians and destroyed more than 350 churches using guns, gasoline bombs, and even machetes, all the while shouting "Allahu akbar" ("God is great"). On Christmas Day alone they slaughtered 42 Catholics. Similar attacks have occurred in Iraq (our "ally"), where since 2003 more than 900 Iraqi Christians have died from terrorist attacks in Baghdad alone while half of all Iraqi Christians have fled the country (see here and here).

Barack Obama is a lame-duck president already, but he probably doesn't realize it since he is surrounded by leftist zealots who insulate him from any contrary opinions and shielded by the partisan mainstream media. Obama's popularity began falling right after his election, and the percentage disapproving has exceeded those approving steadily since 2009. Each and every voting bloc that supported him in 2008 has eroded by at least 10 points -- even the African-American voters, with independents and young voters dropping by over 30 points. Approval on major issues (economy, budget, deficit, employment, etc.) has also eroded, with disapproval exceeding approval ratings across the board.
The president knows he is in trouble, so he has given up leading the country and is now focused solely on campaigning for re-election. Obama has little chance of winning in November, but this does not stop the mainstream media from selling the message that he has a chance. Fortunately for them, many voters are uninformed and can still be influenced by the constant media spin.

The real buck stops with us
If our government officials both elected and appointed are not doing what they should be doing it then becomes the responsibility of we the people to take action. The real buck stops with us. This is our government. It time for Americans to leave the safety and security of their homes and work places and march on down to their representatives' offices and make some real noise. We must have one clear cut mission. One mission that most Republicans and normal Democrats agree on is Border Security. Let us demand that, and see that it gets done and then go onto another mission. We can not be fooled by the Republican dog and pony debate show. We the people must take action now. Hoping that a Republican victory in 2012 will resolve our problems is nothing but a fantasy that prevents us from taking real action to reclaim our country. It is time for boots on the ground. E-mails only will not preserve our liberty. Christmas Day did not stop Washington from crossing the Delaware to attack the British. It's time for us all to start "crossing the Delaware"
