Soldiers from the 525th Military Intelligence Brigade will deploy to the Middle East this month.
The soldiers will conduct intelligence operations in support of the commander of Resolute Support and United Security Forces-Afghanistan throughout the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan. Their efforts will enhance the battle space integrators and the abilities of the Afghanistan National Defense Security Force to defeat enemy networks, neutralize insurgent threats and enable security transition.
On Thursday, the soldiers will case the brigade colors during a ceremony at 10 a.m. on Lightning Field at Fort Bragg.
Command Sgt. Maj. Edward Baptiste said the soldiers are well-trained, ready and motivated to accomplish their mission.
