ALERT
SHUTDOWN COULD HALT BENEFITS FOR
VETERANS AND SURVIVORS |

ROGER,
We need you to take quick action.
Partisan bickering and government paralysis are dealing
devastating blows to America’s heroes.
Failure to pass a budget has resulted in 56
closed VA regional offices and 10,000 furloughed
employees, with more in sight as this drags on. More than 4
million veterans and survivors are at risk of not receiving their
benefits checks on time if resolution isn't found by month's end!
Tell America's leaders in no uncertain
terms to pass a budget NOW. Click here to send a direct
message.
William A.
Thien, VFW Commander-in-Chief, expressed his outrage at the current situation.
“This is totally unacceptable and disgraceful that our elected leaders
in Washington would allow this to happen. We need leadership, not more rhetoric,
and if the government is unable to take care of veterans, then the government
should quit creating us.”
