Madison Haley
of Illinois was named this year's Voice of Democracy audio-essay competition
winner. Her essay on "Why I'm Optimistic About Our Nation's Future"
earned her a $30,000 scholarship and an all-expense-paid trip to this week's VFW
Legislative Conference in D.C.
Pennsylvania service officer Linda Eshenbaugh
works around the clock to help veterans receive their due. When an injured Air
Force veteran in Germany needed help, she rose to the challenge. Look what she

Anthony Cummins isn't a veteran, but his best friend Billy was. When
Billy passed away, Anthony wanted to pay tribute. In Billy's honor, he included
