America Luna's GI Bill benefits ran out right before her last semester.
But, thanks to a VFW Sport Clips "Help A Hero Scholarship," she's finishing what
she started. Her dream? To become a college advisor and help other student
veterans transition from the military.

extensive experience as a registered nurse and a VA Rating Specialist, Isabel
Hicks is the perfect fit for her current role as Appeals Consultant. Also a Navy
veteran, Hicks is proud to spend each day fighting for veterans.
When Thomas Kimball, Vietnam
veteran and Chairman of VFW National Military Services of Maryland, learned that
a unit of Military Police were returning home, he was determined to give them a
hero's welcome. He enlisted the help of his community and the result was
astounding.
