This dumb tweet could ACTUALLY break the internet. (please read

Friend, Trumps FCC Chairman, Ajit Pai, does not support the open internet, free from corporate control. He's publicly stated his position to "wipe away [the] net neutrality rules" that millions of people support.

Pai is a former Verizon lawyer. He's worked for Jeff Sessions. He's Trump's corporate guy on the FCC--and they are determined to undermine net neutrality and open internet communications. Immense public pressure could keep Pai from bowing to corporate pressure.

We're going to need to mobilize big-time this year to protect the internet. This week, we are asking everyone to send messages to the FCC, which we will deliver at an event on Thursday, Feb 23, when the FCC holds the next open meeting. We'll be there again in March, because we can't cede the internet to corporate control.

While we know very little about the position of Trump on net neutrality--aside from this strange tweet that has little to do with what net neutrality actually is--we do know the people around him want to remove the rules and pave the way for corporate interests to take an even bigger share.

Obama’s attack on the internet is another top down power grab. Net neutrality is the Fairness Doctrine. Will target conservative media.
