House expands tick testing for military
U.S. Rep. William Keating's office announced Friday that the U.S. House of Representatives had approved an amendment to expand tick-testing services for members of the military.

Bill keeps $340 million for MOX despite Trump objections
A version of the National Defense Authorization Act approvedFriday by the House Armed Services Committee keeps $340 million for the Mixed Oxide, or MOX, fuel fabrication facility. The $340 million funding level is considered sufficient to continue construction of the Savannah River Site facility for another year.

Final journey to Assumption for Vietnam War pilot killed in action
At the end of Capt. Joe Smith's last flight home, they will all be there to greet him. Hundreds of well-wishers, police, fire and emergency vehicles and an eight-mile stretch of road lined with American flags await the fallen pilot whose remains are due to arrive July 15 in Assumption, his hometown.
